Professional Specialization and Management Skills: (i) Attained professional skills working on different assignments of environmental matters, especially in the development of training manuals, environmental management plans, chemical management and safety, environmental impact assessment, environmental risk assessment, strategies on environmental matters, sociological aspects of environmental movements, environmental education, environmental auditing, environmental monitoring and evaluation; and international environmental law and policy. (iii) Exceedingly gathered huge experience as Manager, Team Leader, Chief Scientific Investigator, Principal Investigator, Associate Scientific Investigator, Researcher Associate, Research Fellow, Consultant and Researchers for physical (color, odor, taste, and turbidity), chemical (total solid, organic matter, alkalinity, hardness, pH, acidity, nitrogen as nitrites and nitrates, as free ammonia, sulfates, chlorides, dissolved oxygen, biological oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, etc.) and biological (total count and coliform MPN (most probable number)) examinations of water adopting a proper sampling procedure and using different instrumental methods of analyses, such as atomic absorption spectroscopy, chromatography, analytical emission spectroscopy etc. for the measurement of standards of quality of water and various methods of disinfection, such as light, heat, metal ions, alkalis and acids, halogens etc. of drinking water. (iv) Specialization in the field of environmental toxicology, especially toxic materials like arsenic, mercury, cadmium, lead, Zinc, DDT, PCBs, POPs, ODSs, etc. for performing analyses of the toxicants and evaluating the toxicity levels. (v) Vast experience in the preparation of various kinds of projects, such as Identification of Pollutants in Industrial Effluents, Hazaribag Tannery Liquid Wastes, Severity of Arsenic in Tube Well Water and recommendations for Taking Effective Mitigation Measures, Pollutants Study in Sewage Sludge from Dhaka City Corporation, Standards of Quality of Drinking Water, etc. (vi) Obtained extensive skills in arsenic mitigation measures developing a specialist arsenic removal technology, “Bucket System” and pathogen-free surface water treatment plant “Hydro-pore” to the rural communities in Bangladesh. (vii) Huge experience gathered in general principles of cleaner production auditing of industries, the general identification of cleaner production options, and made recommendations for future actions. (viii) Received fundamental training for developing knowledge of computer networking and troubleshooting and developed skills with computer programming mainly on Windows, SPAS, Graphics Design, Adobe Illustrators, Adobe Photoshop, lotus, dBase, etc. (ix) As a research fellow worked for more than fifteen years in different international laboratories in the USA, Canada, Span, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland for analyzing toxic metals and established some standards in Dogfish, Elisha-fish and Bird under the financial supports of WHO.
